MS was EXTREMELY anticompetitive in the 80s/90s. Reminds me of an email leak during that time that revealed it was MS strategy to coerce and threaten companies into abandoning competitors like Linux.

Intel, too. They blackmailed vendors into only stocking their processors and not AMD's.

Edit: And they're still doing similar things to this day, e.g. fracturing and hamstringing the OSS community by giving it the Occupy Wallstreet treatment, i.e. push far-left activism to destroy the movement.
