I was just commenting on some dumb fuck leftists post, pointing out the irony of how leftists cry rivers about college student visa holders getting deported for supporting Palestinians (which I also oppose), while at the same time leftists do everything in their power to destroy the lives of any one who openly opposes leftist views. I said you either support free speech or you don’t, and you clearly don’t. The one response I got other than coping laugh reacts was this: “the social consequences of speaking unpopular views is a lot different than having a president persecute people over a constitutionally protected right.” I said, first off, you and this government are both tyrants who would gladly imprison anyone who espouses “wrong-think”, so let’s not pretend your anger is about government overreach, when your anger is purely a result of your side being persecuted by government for the first time ever. I was surprised I even got that one response.
