3 guys have an idea for a new product/service. They personally finance the idea, nearly go broke until word gets out. Then they are the creators of a whole new industry. They even talk in business terms a few times in the movie. Government regulators are even a minor villain in it.
I also just realized that short circuit 1 could be interpreted as a Christian movie about the soul. Heh.
