Edit: I just watched a recap video of his antics, and while debasing the comfort women statue was a serious faux pas, what's really getting him in legal trouble was when he posted a deepfake video he made of him making out with some Kpop star. Turns out simply having deepfakes is illegal in South Korea, and distributing them online is super illegal.
