Culture, race, and ethnicity (and Religion) are all very well tied together. Usually, pick an "ethnic" group, and they share all these things.

I don't know what white Muslims would be. I know plenty of Muslims would be described as white, as a big tent option. Don't ever dare call anyone mixed race. But if we're talking traditional white Christian Americans who converted, I don't think there are enough to be a bloc. Black Muslims might be an ethnicity, since they're more into it and build families around it. But I would not be shocked if any of these felt like the Umma is their ethnicity. Religion is a powerful force. Whatever people seize on as their identify (for a long time -- ignoring the johnny come lately identity stuff), is so.
