It's easy for me to distinguish the people who actually read and do research on this subject, from the ones just repeating a story they hear online.

I also am not sure why you guys get images of kids being led around a pit and shot and turned into a mass grave. Thats not how it went down.

They were mainly taking kids infected with highly virulent strains like tuberculosis and scarlet fever and sticking them in overcrowded dormitories and classrooms and intentionally trying to get as many of them sick as possible.

I still think its fucking INSANE that the RCMP showed up on gunboats to force these kids from there parents. For some reason people dont know that though, they think this was some kinda "voluntary" program and that many indigenous kids were not forced to go. Lol go read a book.

They know pretty much exactly how many kids never made it home, they were considered savages and brutes, many were buried with a wooden cross and no stones. The bodies/graves were lost over time. Indians are very intensely spiritual people, their culture is. Our mainstream culture may think its all bullshit and chants, but I dont think so. Returning these bodies would go a huge way in showing some respect and making up for what happened to them.

In its final report, the TRC has identified 3,200 deaths although it noted that the exact number of students who died at residential schools remains unknown due to incompleteness of the documentary record. Since then, the TRC's estimate has increased to over 4,100 , and is expected to keep rising.

So far, more than 1700 unmarked graves have been discovered near the former sites of seven Canadian Indian residential schools in the Northwest Territories as well as in the provinces of Manitoba, British Columbia, and Saskatchewan.]

About half way there, this has been going on since the 80's, admittedly the only bodies they have found in the last 4 years has been a kid in a mass communal death pit, which was full of adult Indians who prolly died from the infections too, they had very little immunity, and we knew that.

I dont really have faith in the rcmp to tell the truth after what happened in nova scotia, and its amazing to me that anyone else is willing too.

If anything we need to take this as a reminder of exactly why we cannot let our governments amass the power to do something like this again. Make no mistake, they fucking genocided these people to steal their land and resources. Did they outright kill them? No, worse, they made them adopt white man names and culture and would even reward the indians who would turn and rat each other out. These are the ones who go on later to become band leaders.

Most of you prolly dont know this either, (Besides most canadian indians being part of a matriarchal society) But anyway the minister of indian affairs gets final say on chiefs in the tribe. If they dont like them, they have the power to remove them. Seems real fair doesnt it. Always bitching about all the money the government spends on the ndians, without realizing its people like trudeau and his stooges who are "dolling out" the cash and embezzling most of it.

And another thing, this wasnt just a canada thing.

Britain did the same thing to its natives,

Australia did the same thing.

The complaint also outlined a number of actions by the three officers outside of the group chat, including belittling Indigenous community members as having fetal alcohol syndrome and saying they are “not going to the reserve because we’re not going to help those people,” the court document says.

Yeah you guys are real classy in canada, real fair honest people, i know.

Before 2018, no one was questioning this. Weird now that the governments investigated itself and found nothing wrong, they are going to cover it up and let it stay hidden in the shadows of history.

Here is a list of all the gravesites, that someone compiled.

I cant find a official source for this though.

You guys really think this is all made up to make white people feel bad? Im a white person, a descendant of frontierspeople from almost 400 years ago, the wings to be exact.

In Bowden’s History of the Society of Friends in America, it is mentioned that “two English Friends, named Christopher Holden and John Copeland came to Sandwhich on the 20th of the 6th month” of 1657[31] and there they found friends of toleration and resisters of an oppressive law in Daniel Wing, the son of John Wing and Deborah Bachiler, and grandson of Stephen Bachiler. Daniel Wing and his brother Stephen Wing and others resisted an oppressive law in the town of Sandwhich which publicly punished men and women by whipping, for “meetings at private houses, for encouraging others in holding meetings, for entertaining the preachers and for the unworthy speeches”. By 1658, Daniel Wing, with others who acted with him, became active converts and there were 18 families who recorded their names in the documents of the society. Writers of 1658-1660 said “We have two strong places in this land, the one at Newport and the other at Sandwhich; almost the whole town of Sandwhich is adhering towards them” and the records of the Monthly Meetings of Friends show that the Sandwhich Monthly Meeting was the first established in America.[32]

My family never owned slaves or exploited indians, I dont feel guilty for what a bunch of rich elitist assholes did. If anything I feel an insane sense of duty to prevent it from happening again.
