I totally get the argument for wired, I love the freedom of wireless though, as I've mentioned I'm a 90's kid, so honestly I'm not that fussed about audio quality as long as it's fairly clear. I do wonder though with my setup whether or not I should get an extremely long wire and then that should solve any problems with wired and then I can have the headphones running endlessly. Since I'm somebody who listens to music tons while I research code and everything it can be sometimes easy to run out of battery power which will be another reason why the wireless headphones are probably dying just because of heavy use.

That may be a setup I should think about, I know there's USB adaptors and such that do that, it shouldn't lead to any loss in quality if it's in the same room. I wonder if I shouldn't post it up because I'm quite pleased with what I have now lulz. What I've done is I've got my standard desktop setup and then I drilled a wall monitor mount at the foot of my bed as a second monitor for watching whatever I want. If I god forbid ever want to use a controller, the wire is long enough that I can game on my bed in total comfort. I'm very much a PC gamer though and I like my RTS and simulations.

Yeah, definitely maybe going to look at extending wired as a compromise. So perhaps I'll go for an amazing set of Sennheiser's and a USB extender of some kind.

Edit: As it turns out, yes there are plenty of USB extenders available, hurray! So that's something to consider.
