Gamers are starving. I'm willing to deal with the old fashioned problems so long as it isn't a woke pile of trash. This has been the worst year yet. Concord, Flintlock, Dustborn, Suicide Squad, Star Wars Outlaws, AC: Shadows, all of them high budget unplayable garbage. Even Nintendo is giving in. We've passed "inclusion is good" and rolled into "these games are purposely made as activism." We're not even expected to like this shit but we're blamed when it fails miserably.
In a normal 4th quarter there are usually at least 6-10 games that look interesting that come out within weeks of each other. This year there are two (for me), one being Space Marine, and both are marked as approach with caution.
So I can deal with a few ignorable cosmetic micro transactions so long as the escapism is intact. If it's not pushing the message in my face I am more likely to support, or at least tolerate it.
