lol yeah, fyi I've been to Tommy Robinson protests before RL to check things out and at this point they really are just glowie ops for the police to profile you so they can harass you at 3:00am if you're questioning the state too much. This is why I mock revolutionary larpers so much, it's the information age, some people have no fucking idea how much they're being tracked. They think they're going to still be internet tough guys when they get dragged out in cuffs half naked so they can get their face plastered all over the news.

Another fun fact, the joke is these events are often hugely exaggerated by the media even if they're fairly large in scale overall which might seem odd to write. The journalists are often guilty of frequently doing closeup images and so on to make the place look more crowded than it really is and things like that and this is for either side.

I was at one of the protests in Manchester, don't get me wrong, pretty sizeable, but in reality I'd say it was about 100 - 200 people at most on either side. The rest of it was a massive overreaction from the police and a bunch of confused looking normies who have no idea what the hell is going on because they're normies.

Was also a bit active on Brexit day and checked that out in London, now that was a crowd. I think though even people who are pretty well informed underestimate the level the media really likes to fuck with public perception these days. They lie about everything a lot and it's just about having a political slant either, everything is about skewing public perception. Always check out the raw protest footage by average people posted online over what journalists put out. That's way more of an accurate accounting of what's going on.
