It's so crazy to think these guys could be on the surface right now, having drifted off course in the night from heavy seas, or whatever, and they're still as good as dead because they can't open the door unless someone does it for them.

It's so insane to think that's how this whole thing could end. They are going to find these guys bobbing around on the surface (because they had to abort down there, floated back up, and they drifted off course in rough seas) and they all suffocated because it's impossible to open the door.
