It's empty because they don't treat life as if it has inherent value. It's an empty platitude to say until you live that out. If life is important you HAVE to be Pro-life, you have to fight against a wasted life to drugs, and prostitution. Also respect for a person includes respecting the property of other people, what they have is a result of their sweat, work, and effort. You can't just take shit if you go by this principle.
