Netflix animation is weirdly inconsistent. They have have really good things like Klaus or F is for Family, the mediocre like Dragon Prince and Scrooge or the worst like Big Mouth.
I find it's more how much control a creator has over a particular series in how it's able to defy the guidelines of having to add in blacks and homos into a series. For Klaus and Green Snake for instance, they were foreign films that were already completed and Netflix just picked up distribution rights. F is for Family did have an ep or two focusing on Rosy but you can tell Bill was fighting for that 5th season to wrap everything up.
Dragon Prince though started out kinda interesting but has honestly lost me in how mediocre it's become. The timeskip in the latest season hasn't helped any.
But yeah, the longer a series goes on, the longer that Netflix has certain demands that have to be included or no funding.
