We in the US are not quite to this point yet.

Not on the large scale yet, but certainly on the small scale.

January 6th protestors, Alex Jones lawsuit, Whitmer "kidnapping" conspiracy, Lucas Gerhard snapchat "terrorism," and so many more we've never even heard of.

Factually, the US government is consistently imprisoning citizens who have done nothing wrong, as well as otherwise punishing them for legal speech.

They're also trying to make criticism of the government synonymous with terrorism. Not to mention "misinformation" and "disinformation." Not to mention the more and more information coming out that proves we were right about governmental involvement in social media communication.

We...we are pretty much there.
