The rise of "equality" between men and women has led to family breakdowns.

Men and women's desires in life tend to not be compatible. In previous times, men had significantly more leverage over women in order for men to assert what they wanted from relationships more fully. This led to stability because the women didn't have much choice. Now that women have "equality", it has led to instability. Men no longer have the leverage to force what they want and women have minimum leverage to force men into being what they want. The only leverage women tend to have to get what they want is their looks and sex but women right now anyway resent that fact or they've decided to utilize these qualities on the open market (whoring around) rather than in a monogamous relationship. Basically, unless the stars align perfectly, most relationships aren't going to work in the long-term.

There's a number of minor ancillary problems too. Like divorce laws actually encourage women to get divorces. If you're a woman you can divorce a man, find another man and be in a better financial situation. That leads to an incentive to leave all but the absolute perfect relationships rather than find compromise.

The norm I've seen is that most young people try to make a relationship work but then it inevitably fails. There are still successful relationships but they don't seem like the norm. A lot of guys in relationships that "work" aren't actually happy but just go along with it. Women leave relationships or sabotage the relationship until the man leaves almost the second they aren't getting exactly what they want.

So long as we promote equality with women then I believe it is inevitable for relationships to end. Women don't want monogamy with average men. Women want to procreate with the hottest males and that's it. Women will only engage in relationships with lesser males if these males act as slaves for the women. Most men don't want to be slaves for women. The net overall result is that 95% of relationships are doomed to fail. We're going to see things get worse in time not better.
