I didnt see such "narrative", especially since they gained iniative months ago, they don't even talk much about the UPA historically as they have more than enough heroes to celebrate among themselves as they shout Glory to Heroes, and they don't present themselves as anything "scrappy" but as superior to the enemy, and being better armed and the enemy having shit for gear is included in this. It's the "narrative" of power and domination, and even in Russia they currently show the same actually (that is, Ukraine being better armed, trained, supplied, commanded, reconed, "we're fighting against all strenght of NATO") to explain their setbacks. So did you just imagine it?
