Most people living in red states would openly welcome any conservative moving there because they're acutely aware that their way of life is under attack by braincucked consumers who want all the freedoms of a Red state, but all the virtue chasing bullshit and fart sniffing of a blue one. I can't tell you how many people I saw complaining about restrictions, mandates, lockdowns, taxes, poverty, homelessness, terrible schools, crime, urban decay in black neighborhoods, bureaucracy, who all, somehow, were completely unable to make the connections that they literally voted for it. That they give these powers to Government by voting for it.
These same simpleminded retards seem to be living under the consumer manufactured delusion that conservatives create these laws and that the liberals will somehow save them from them. How they reach such retarded conclusions I can only assume is through propaganda on TV/social media, because it's so far from reality that it's completely staggering. At no point did we see it more clearly than with the BLM/Antifa riots. All the people on the streets were somehow genuinely convinced that their fake oppression was the result of fascist conservatism, instead of the blindingly obvious and crystal clear absolute fact that the cities they were rioting in have been completely controlled at every single level by liberals for decades.

When asked how, exactly, the crime and police problem in their city is the fault of "fascist conservatives" when their city has been completely run by Democrats at every level for decades, their answer is always the same same: "Well the past has effects on the present!"
