It's like you don't want to say "our boss is an ass for asking us to do support on the weekend" directly so say something like "oh I heard that so and so's boss in another company had them do support on the weekends, how awful" as a conversation with someone else that your boss "just happens" overhear.

Men's standards aren't that high.
