A nation FIRST starts to become healed, when it's men get right with God. Also that the nation is also FIRST judged according to the rebellion of it's men against God's laws.

I used the term "spiritually" apathetic (vs. religiously apathetic) for a reason. Not all "spirits" are the same, nor religions. The word "religion" is as an empty husk or vessel. There's outright satanic "religion", there's fake ("christian") "religion",and then there's "religion" pure and undefield before God.
James 1:27 Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world.
Much of the west today isn't fighting back, because it's indwelled with entirely the wrong spirit. Western men have a lazy, carnal, apathetic spirit, rather than a Godly fighting spirit.
2 Corintians 3:17 Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.
There's virtually zero morale, and which can itself be seen as a judgement from God. You just can't keep up a spirit of righteous indignation towards the evil we see today, if you yourself aren't living righteously.
