They won't even allow a debate of allowing for optional private healthcare. Even if there would be no different in public funding, it is better everyone get worse care, than everyone getting better care if it means some may be able to pay to get better care than others. Just ignore the death panels, and the reduction of available health services & procedures because there's no money left to pay for them. Also ignore politicians and sports stars get preferential access under the current system, while people who will die before they're treated with public often have no choice but to get private treatment in the states.
