Canadians are seemingly nice on the surface, but spiteful passive-aggressive bastards on the inside. Try questioning any of the sacred cows and you'll quickly see them turn. Socialism is more deeply ingrained, and with it, a general belief that more government, especially left government is better. They are very brainwashed, and the media being paid of hasn't helped.

Trudeau talked about his "admiration for China's basic dictatorship" in 2015. This had no media traction until the founder of Rebel News (then working at Sun) brought it up. All other mainstream media downplayed it, said it was nothing, and it was stretching to even bring it up. Trudeau repeated similar words in 2020. Trudeau and many of the left (especially in the government and media) have no issue with China's dictatorship. They'll raise issues with the Uighurs, but they fundamentally agree with authoritarianism as long as it's on their side.

When it comes to voting for another party, the Conservatives are the only party that didn't vote for this. The general opinion is that the conservatives never change and they're going to things like ban abortion, and bring in many other 'evil' social conservative laws. They haven't done this when in they were in power in the past, but they're definitely going to this time. I don't think Canada even has any abortion laws, and the current conservative party is lockstep with the Liberals in almost all policies and voting.

There's the PPC, which is a tiny party, but the leader's "far right" and is evil for going to an event and speaking outside, while protests with many more people and much closer contact for causes they like occurring at the same time are great.
