While I don't think it's likely, I do believe that the shots fired at the supreme court from democrats will influence what cases they'll take and how they will rule.

Adversarial relationships between the Judiciary and the two other branches has pretty much always resulted in the courts backing down and making as little noise as possible.

Wasn't it Andrew Jackson that said "The courts have made their judgement, now let's see them enforce it"?

No surprise from me that the supreme court didn't lift a finger for Trump. They knew which way the wind was blowing. Backing Trump would have opened the court to much more than a commission and a toothless bill from congressional democrats.
