Here's the thing you gotta understand:

The Enlightenment did not go as far in Anglosphere as it did in Frankosphere. The French tried the Cult of Reason, and afterwards came to terms with Catholicism. When they did eventually adopt state secularism (shortly before WW1) it was simply an acknowledgement that France had many religions due to its colonies, and that the state needed to divest itself from faith.

This did not happen in the English speaking world. The extremes of the Puritans were tested and rejected in the Commonwealth, but otherwise we haven't had the enlightenment showdown that France did.

France is able to see the poisonous impact of SJWs because they are introducing divides in society that, in France, were already ironed out. Academics in America for example don't understand that Michael Foucault was not mainstream in France. He was seen as a radical in France.
