Rating drops aren't entirely in response to the activism, but there does seem to be visible[1] correlation in sports like basketball, which is the prime example of woke, entitled celebrities out of control.

Sports like that have no choice but to respond in kind. Massive ratings drop = Declining broadcasting revenue = No bueno.
I'd say only the NFL is mostly impervious to this, since there is too much joy in watching them kill each other on the field. All sports are struggling with people switching from cable/satellite to streams, but the NFL is probably hit the hardest in this respect.
P.S. I only followed wrestling as a kid. It's crazy to think how things like bra & panties matches, women catfighting in mud, and Trish Stratus' video shoot hosing herself in a white t-shirt would be received today.
