I'm so fed up with this shit. Gaming is almost gone.

Learn Japanese and never look back. I'm so glad I invested the time to learn it.
Actually doing that now, not just for entertainment but for business in Japan my company is working towards.
We have translators etc but I want to learn it myself and it's a beautiful language.
I was able to play Ghost of Tsushima and understood a large portion of it. So making progress. I read some Japanese manga occasionally to help learn more of the casual tone as well. Cant wait until I'm fluent.
Also Japanese women are absolutely gorgeous.
And very, very high maintenance.
Don't be fooled by that whole image of them being good, there's a reason Japan has the highest number of MGTOWs in the world.
some, but the majority are not, pretty much like most nations except Africa where they all look like men
You mean it isn't the advanced waifu tech!?
Good to know. Didn't know that about MGTOW. Interesting.
You tell them that wordplay and puns aren't necessary in every single thing ever, in KANJI, and I might go back.
But those two things make everything a fucking nightmare to consume outside academic settings.
Reading manga translations and the 40 hoops they jump through to explain or make a single joke work makes it sound extremely exciting to understand.
But there is so much history, local memery, geography, folklore and more baked into their daily wordplay that it requires not just learning a language but the entire country for some works.
I wonder how long the Japanese game industry will stay immune to this kind of bullshit
5-10 years tops.
Hell yeah, I think I saw the ugly stagnation of western game industry coming 10 years ago and a few years after that I started learning Japanese. To this day that is the only thing I'm thankful to have made the decision.
I'm probably not a very good example for learning Japanese since I just kind of picked it up while watching lots of anime and then learned kanji solely through Anki instead of doing exercises and stuff like that.
