Last time there were thousands of extra ballots, but they declared the results final and destroyed them all.
Maxime Bernier was 1000% correct, the party is wholly and utterly corrupt. They already banned 2 leadership candidates for wrongthink: 1, Jim Karahalios, won a court case saying they kicked him out of the leadership race improperly. The CPC immediately booted him out of the race again anyways.
I can tell you exactly what's going on right now with this delay. They thought the ranked ballot would work in MacKay's favour because even people who supported other candidates would mark the establishment frontrunner as one of their preferences. Instead, they've discovered that there is a substantial Anyone-But-MacKay movement amongst the party membership, because at least most of the grassroots are actually still conservative, and that a majority of the ballots have O'Toole, Lewis and Sloan in varying orders of preference without ranking MacKay at all. So now they're trying to figure out how to disqualify enough ballots to give him the leadership anyway.
And now the announcement of the result has been "delayed"due to issues counting the ballots. I smell a beaver-faced rat in the mix.

O'Toole won. Good.
I vote Bloc, but there is no reason to want spineless globalism from our neighbours.
