My only grievance with voter id has been voter anonmity, as voter id could potentially be used to target dissidents. If this system solves this issue, I call that a good thing.
That said,who wants to place bets this patent is only used to block other organizations from developing something similar so that our voting will be forever done by physical mail (and thus, be easily tampered with). Why else would the USPS file for this patent instead of, oh I don't know, the Electoral College?
It's the government granting itself a patent. They don't have to implement it, and block chain is just a buzzword to them.
Forging physical paper is hard work. The democrat establishment will click a button to win elections.
Forging is difficult, but "finding" troves of uncounted ballots is easy, and doesn't require control of the voting system. If the democrats had control, the Electoral College would already be compromised.
They are on the cusp of chinese style one-party rule. Bush made the security appartus that Obama used to purge the dissenters from government. Here they are laying the ground work to simply announce election victory without needing the election.
