"It was a place where I could make a little avatar that looked like me (or at least a big-headed skinny version of me) and experiment with hairstyles and fashion. I realized how much happier I felt when my character was dressed in a feminine way. Also I tried on the Tiara hair when I was on a friend's island and he told me I looked pretty and boy, that brought up a LOT of emotions.
Obviously AC wasn't the ONLY thing that helped me realize... I'd been kind of aware for a long time and actively questioning for a few months, but it was a place that I could explore these feelings at a time when I really needed to."
I was a Pokemon in Mystery Dungeon, so I decided to become a Lizardon. I thought it was really cool how I could use these powerful fire attacks and people thought it was cool that I could beat anything in one attack because I had eaten so many gummies.
I hate the spoiled fucking mindset these kids have. "If it feels good then it must be beneficial." No, no its really not. Just because you got all the feels because your "friend" said you looked cute with a tiara on doesn't mean you should run out and immediately get sex reassignment surgery. Being trans isn't inherently good, it just means you have a mental disorder and need to figure out how to work through that. Its nothing to be proud of any more than anxiety and depression are.
That's the part that upsets me the most. If they wanted to wade out into the world and deal with all the consequences of such, it would be one thing.
But no, its always "POSITIVITY" and "YOU WILL BE SILENCED IF YOU DISSENT FROM REINFORCEMENT." Not a thing can be criticized or even slightly out of lockstep.
If they didn't draw others into their insanity, I'd be fine with this. Peer contagion is a real thing, though, and most of us have a period of vulnerability where we have self-acceptance issues, usually during adolescence. It's important to actively push back on trannies, so that people aren't lured to the snakeoil they're selling for what are standard growing pains.

Some piece of shit providing an example of what you are talking about, peer contagion, from that very thread:

That's fucked up.
It does sound like one. Why not?
