Why the fuck aren't you strapped and armored already? Good luck now. Make yourself an IFAK in a MOLLE(its a standardized attachment system) pouch to get something in your hands now. MOLLE shit can be looped on your normal belt when you don't feel like putting on all the crap. Plate carriers are my favorite form factor, but shooter preference and all that. Plates are on back order too, look for NIJ rated III (NOT IIIA) or IV.
I barely go out due to fear of Covid, so I haven't felt the need to. That's also why I've been commenting a lot on Reddit. Never realized how little there is to do at home before.
But yeah, seeing this made me realize I'm just as in danger as people who oppose BLM. A bit late to realize, because everyone's probably bought out the stores.
Recognize fellow reactionaries better and listen to what they scream about. The gun nuts were yelling as loud as they could that everyone should go get strapped. Better late than never order now.

That, and the historic, once-in-a-lifetime low prices of the last 3 years. My dad basically ignored me for like 5 years that he needed to move out of his culturally enriched rental, and/or get a $400 auto-loader in the house.
Last fucking week he decided that it was time to get an auto-loading shotgun, And he paid $1400 intead of $1100-ish.
There are still good buys to be had. Plates are still pretty readily available, but quality plate carriers are getting scarce until September-ish.
These are a good option if you are not worried about rifle rounds. Otherwise look for Hesco Level IV plates for ~$150 each. If you need a "good enough" plate carrier fast, that will play nice with commercial 10X12 plates, look at AR500's offerings. DO NOT buy plates from them though. Steel plates are a BAD idea.
Also, ammo is expensive at the moment, but there are still plenty of good buys on guns to be had. If you can't find anything locally, find a local store that will do a FFL transfer for you and keep an eye on Gundeals for what you want.
There's a difference between not being worried about your vulnerability and saying that the virus is fake. Someone in the small town midwest, under the age of 60 who is active outdoors has little to worry about. A fat, black guy in Chicago or NYC has a whole different risk profile.
I'm going based off what relatives in Northern Italy told me. They said it was really bad and there are young people still sick months after they first showed symptoms. I'd just rather not risk it and I'm allowed to work at home so I'm not really losing anything.
I swear the people recommending level IV armor has never worn it all day. I have a set of level III ultra light weight PE plates, but they are still 6lbs for the pair vs. just under 2lbs for a pair of IIIA plates. And your much more likely to encounter pistol fire.
I have worn it all day, sometimes for several weeks without taking it off. Best weight vest for HIIT workouts. Plus it doubles as a heater when it's cold out, and you can slide your hands in too.
Well. I never expected they'd start shooting us in broad daylight. Remind me to invest in a bulletproof vest.
Women are still trash, no matter how many ways they threaten and harm us to try and make us quiet.
Female supremacy must be stopped.
