Could AI powered by quantum computers that could make AI require significantly less energy than they do now for a much better result be coming in 5 years too?

datacenters are to process the massive backlog of every transmission, transaction, telephone call or anything you ever said within range of a mic.
they're going to build a digital "you". that watches everything every one of you do now and forever always self correcting trying to predict the next thing(s) you will do. and then.... ???? exploit it. sell you shit. decide to kill you. get rid of undesireables. skys the limit.
and when they kill you. the digital "you" will still be online posting and playing on video chat. nothing to see here.
but that's just crazy. right? they're not usin the 'security' boogieman again and it's for real this time right?
This probably means they already have it and are trying to advertise it to scare their (supposed) rivals.
If quantum computers will become a thing, I guess it depends on how widespread they are. If they’re so large or expensive that each major power basically has one in a research lab, then I can’t see them being that insane. Anymore widespread than that and we will face serious issues thanks to their encryption-breaking capabilities.
Next Gen VR head sets + Next Gen computing power + Next Gen AI = The Matrix.
I'm pretty confident within our life time we'd have the ability to slap on a VR headset and ask AI to completely build whatever you want and enough power for it to happen near instantly.
Many weebs are gonna be ejecting themselves from society to go live VR Isekai harem fantasy.
