Title: There's a N##### in the Moon (1897) by John W. Dick arr. by Emil Biermann
I tried linking this earlier today but it got auto-modded due to the title. Incredible, therefore, that at 243k views (as of now) this song/interpretation of a reportedly never-recorded-before vintage American song from the late 1800s (actually not really offensive or hateful despite the title that I had to censor here; it's fun and whimsical) is still up on Youtube.
The one singing is a talented pianist and composer who's also uploaded other interesting videos in the past. Of course he's demonetized but he doesn't seem to care that much.
Apparently users are getting this video in their algorithmic recommendations on Youtube. A sign of changing times?
I'm pretty sure you can say the word "nigger," but given this would be your first post, it's auto blocked by the community filter and has to be manually approved. I could be wrong though.
My user account is as old as this website; I figured it could have been due to the contents of the post. Admittedly, I haven't posted a lot over the years, but the song was so fun, and the singer so talented (as well as brave) that I had to share it here.
Just double checked, there's no keyword filter on posts. For comments we've dropped the karma requirements to not get filtered down drastically from DoM's tenure as a trial run. But for top level posts I haven't touched the upvotes required to post new topics without manual approval, which was almost comically high. Hopefully we'll revisit that if the comment trial goes well, but for now it doesn't actually filter very many topics, it just requires one us lazy jannies to be paying attention. Sorry yours was waiting so long.
