Men have been called unwanted in every aspect outside of their money. Men have also been told to move over and let women into every aspect of their life other than physical contact with them (not just sex, but even a hug is considered rape if unwarranted 5-10 years later.)
We have a loneliness epidemic that a generation of mistrust and ignorance of what the definition of a relationships is and how they work. Porn is just a symptom of this bigger issue.
All addictions cause loneliness and isolation. Most addictions start from external factors, genetics, or trauma. From chems to gambling, you don’t take the addiction away to cure it. All you do is make people get it illegally and create black markets. You need to cure what is causing it.
In some instances, physicians will give an addict their controlled substance but in smaller doses. It weans the body off it until it can cope without it. This goes along side other medical treatments and social support. Cold turkey has such a strain on a body, it’s only used in short term addicts. Long term addicts that go cold can cause heart attacks.
Cutting pornography from intense addicts will result in them getting hooked on another vice. There’s a reason why digital gambling/gatcha games have become extremely popular now.
