I've been mulling this over for a while now. I was going to vote for Polievre, and am even a card carrying conservative party member.
I had some misgivings about Polievre, but he wasn't Trudeau. I liked a lot of what he's said, and really enjoyed the interview he did with JP.
But since then I learned more.
Part of me still wants to vote PC, simply to get the libs out.. But really it's two sides of the same coin and polievre is on record wanting to do what Trump is doing about antisemitism etc.
Lib or Con, we're going to get the same shit, so my vote won't really matter anyway.
So im going to vote who actually represents me more, even if it's a throw away.
Thoughts?
I'm voting PPC as well. Though I'm not impressed with them recruiting so many jeet placeholder candidates.
People put way too much thought into strategic voting simply so they can claim after all is said and done that they supported the winning team.
Mathematically, your individual vote is completely irrelevant, so might as well vote your conscience.
75% sure I'm voting PPC.
PPC member here, unless you live in a really close riding the "vote split" is just a scare tactic the Cons use to keep the real conservative alterative down.
PP voted against banning sex-selective abortions, for a ban on "conversion therapy", he told Indian migrants he wanted to get them jobs and a flight to some derka city.
Vote with your conscience, I will and the PPC is polling 1-2% in my riding.
Yeah, and AFAIK the cons also voted unanimously for gender affirming care, and shit like taking kids away from parents who won't trans their kids.
That and the PC party kicking out MPs who have called out the mass graves hoax for what it is - a hoax. Because it's too divisive, or not politically expedient. I don't want people who think in those ways.
I think he has the right idea in terms of the economy (minus the pajeet influx) in terms of opening regulations and harnessing our vast resources.
We should all move to Winkler, MB and finally get Max over the top next time.
If I were in a riding where it might go either way, I'd vote Con just because I want to see the look on all the Boomers' faces if the Libs actually lose. As it is, my riding is not even competitive so I have nothing to lose by voting PPC.
Polievre sure loves the pajeets.
I think there's an element where he has to pander to them, given how many there are now. At least I hope so.
That's kind of like the cope that Trump was only bending the knee to Israel to get big donors and get elected.
How did that work out?
Why do you think any of the available candidates will represent you?
No one fully represents me but me. So with that said I'm left to choose who appears to represent me the most.
You need to vote for who you actually support.
Voting tactically only sometimes works, and clearly voting for the lesser of 2 evils protects the establishment party while giving them the excuse that the 3rd party option is never a legitimate option.
I'd suggest PPC as a legitimate party. They need your support if they are going to actually build the infrastructure for a larger push.
My riding is ~90% guaranteed to go PC. PPC got nearly 10% in 2021, but is projected much less this round.. But I don't really trust polls and the projections much. I know I've never been polled.
I think people were pulling more for the Conservatives because it seemed like the more winnable choice (this is what tactical voting gets you), and also it seems like Trump's "51st state" comments were effectively weaponized against anyone on the right.
I don't blame Trump for it, I blame the Canadian people for ideological and media capture, failing to realize that Trump being a blowhard is not worse than an establishment that wants them dead in a gutter from a stab wound by a foreigner, or dead in a trench in Ukraine.
I'll vote PPC too, but sometimes I worry Bernier will do like Farage in the UK: Eject all the competent people around him and cling to power. He's pretty much a career politician at this point and we all know what that implies...
Canola is poison making Canadians retarded faggots.
Yes but it's also a big export product. Sell it to other countries and if they use it to cook or lubricate engines that's their business.
I hate the liberals and Pierre is disappointing but the PPC are a worthless fart in wind. I'd vote for them, but I won't waste my vote on a worthless party with no influence or power or even the ability to gain it. I'd rather the PC over than libs but I'd rather even more right than the cons. So no PPC for my entire household. Not until they can demonstrate competence changing minds. So PC it is for all of us here, to get the libs out.
But more right than the cons is PPC. I said in another post I looked up where I live and PPC actually had a good turn out last election, like near what the ndp got.
I know what you're saying though. I like what one of the other posters said, in that if PC is pretty much guaranteed to win your riding then vote with your conscience, not strategically.
Look up the conservative's individual mp's, many are pro India before being pro canada
Logged in just to answer: please don't.
Look, I was also going to vote PPC but with the current bullshit Carney is pulling, we need every vote on Pierre to kick the libs out. The country is cooked otherwise. You think it's bad now?? Wait till that mofo finally pass the online restriction bill, follow to the letter the rec of the century initiative, increase CBC funding, kill whatever's left of our economy... We can't afford to have this cunt in power.
Let's get Pierre in and defund the libs propaganda machine. Then we can start holding them accountable and vote PPC.
