Even though there are a bunch of Canadians that like Trump, bashing Trump still probably sells better to Canadians overall...which is exactly why Pierre is right (if for the wrong reasons), and Canada cannot be the 51st state. For real, Canadians are suffering from mass delusion when it comes to Canadian nationalism. Liberal, "conservative," doesn't matter. They'll lash out and attack anyone who they think is badmouthing Canada, in the most insane way they can think of.

Another example, a conservative (by Canadian standards) Youtuber, Mr Sunshine Baby, who hates Trudeau...cheered on Trudeau 'getting one over on Trump' by doing exactly what Trump wanted, in regards to tariffs. He wasn't the only conservative Canadian to delusionally cheer on Trudeau caving to the US, either. Canadians are so desperate for a win they just make shit up, even the conservatives.
