I'll take the diametric position that often the only criminals worth talking about are the white ones. White crime rates are low, so when you end up with a story that isn't basic white trash poverty nonsense its an exceptional individual doing interesting things.
You ever hear about some of the black serial killers? Its always the same boring "pimp or similar killing random prostitutes no one cares to even look for." And they only get away with it because no one wants to bother with a streetwalking crackhead, even the cops. And when they do show up, its the same old racism angle.
I really do think that's a primary reason why so many crime channels end up being 95% white. Because blacks and mexicans are fucking boring, low IQ apes doing cliche crimes thinking they are cool. So if you cover them its a boring episode that you are forced to dance around because any wrong word is a racism that'll get you cancelled.
There is probably some conscious effort for woke reasons to avoid talking about the blacks, but even shows I've seen where the guys didn't care and tried ended up being fucking terrible despite their best efforts.
That's a fair point. People like Charles Manson are grade-A nut-balls, but they are highly fascinating at the same time. Their bizarre worldview is interesting at the very least.

I think it's probably because white people tend to view themselves as individuals and don't collectivize. That results in some pretty crazy fringe beliefs which makes for something more compelling. When people collectivize themselves, motivations disappear into a borg-like "whatever my 'community' told me all my life"
The only interesting black criminal I care to remember was Christopher Dorner, and that's because he was a ex-cop that went after the LAPD.
I don't think collectivism is much a factor here because highly collectivist nations like Japan have plenty of interesting crimes no different than Whites.
I think its just because PoCs in America/Canada lack a high enough average IQ to produce that rare unique psycho (IQs highly correlate with neuroticism which is what compels many of them), while also being never truly "stable" enough to develop complexes that would create lives like that.
You aren't going to spend your days stalking a woman to spend all day mutilating her and then disposing of the body when you live 15 to a house in the ghetto and have to steal multiple times a day just to get by.
