The guy who bought his first car for $25 and his second for $50 is going to be quoted for ages.
People today can't find a car under 5-7k that runs.
These people have no idea what food, rent, cars or houses actually cost people, and how little people make.
Weird because I bought my car under 4k and it runs perfectly. Yall have the same problem I see with most people my age where you're trying to live above your means in high cost areas
Lots of cars under 4k run just fine, but "runs perfectly" sounds like an exaggeration. You're taking a gamble and maintenance costs will be high. If not then good for you man, you got a great deal. I don't think people are "trying" to live in any way, they just don't know how to find those deals. Nobody taught them any different. It's like with the H1B issue. All those Indians have to do is apply to some recruiting company that takes care of everything and tells them what to do and sets them up in America with a job. Why don't we have that? "Here friend, I've got you car and it runs great. Just pay $4000. Your job is waiting in Texas. The pay is 50k. Just take this interview and HR has guaranteed you are in the lead."
I don't think anyone is claiming you should not be commended for working hard and pulling yourself up all on your own, because in spite of disadvantage that's what you had to do and did. Good work. We're just saying it shouldn't be that way and doesn't have to be, and clearly certain groups are on Easy Mode.
It literally runs perfectly lol. Also maintenance cost consist of oil and filter changes every few months. I like how you know more about it than me lmao. There's zero gamble if you have half a brain when it comes to used cars
