Why do you say that, because we were introduced to a federal agent antagonist? It was inevitable we'd have to see consequences of the main duo's actions. Society at large still sees the aliens as a net positive, so of course the authorities would intervene when dozens of aliens suddenly go missing.
The manga is making the protagonists look too vicious , killing random aliens that haven't really done anything, without giving more reasons for why we should hate the aliens. Its making the protagonists look like psychopaths.And humanizing the aliens by giving them missing posters . That's why i think its going to go down the villain protagonist route.
I didn't really get that sense.
The intruding neighbors are made into the major annoyance of the chapter, rudely demanding that the protagonist sign a petition to overhaul the entire building for their own comfort at the expense of the humans.
And the handful of aliens the male protagonist kills are street punks.
One which is openly complaining about losing its license, presumably its driving license, going right into a flashback about protag's family who got hit and runned.
