Guy, how do you get a computer science degree and not learn about operational security?

I know actual, real, working computer engineers who only do transactions in cash, because they know very well about "customer loyalty programs" and what they are for, and how often they "leak".

Did this guy do his "How to murder" research on the open web? Is he mentally ill?
