I used to be a libertarian, and I recall the cognitive dissonance of trying to oppose mass immigration as a libertarian. It's not easy to justify within that ideological framework even if you want to, and then there is a faction of them against you that will wreck things. The need for borders is one of the most settled political question on earth, yet they are mired in disputes over it.
