Cutting family members out of your life for ideological reasons is how cults isolate people for the purpose of controlling them.
I thought about creating a thread about this but it isn't that interesting because we're all aware of what's happening.
One of my cousins created a one hour YouTube video and sent it to everyone she knows. In the video, she explains that she will be contacting each of us individually to ask if we voted for Trump. If we say yes, she will punish us (her exact words) by cutting off all contact for a period of one year.
Most of the video is her repeating "very fine people" type lies about Trump and telling us to check the description for sources which are all from liberal propaganda rags like HuffPo and CNN.
"I wouldn't be doing this if it were a regular conservative. Trump is uniquely evil and he plans to turn the US into a dictatorship."
She even used the term "stochastic terrorism" lol. It was truly a greatest hits list of NPC word vomit.
Isolation is a sign of domestic abuse
What does this say about the veritable epidemic of loneliness in our society?
It's scary how many people would whether be lonely than be around people that don't share their exact beliefs
I don't think that's the entirety of it. I think it's as much ostracization as it is self imposed isolation. You know, that and the complete collapse of any and all sense of community anywhere within the modern world.
Basically I'm saying that society is abusing people on an unfathomable scale.
