This guy will be McConnell's butt puppet, serving the Democrats just as faithfully as McConnell did. It's telling that the leftists in the Yahoo comments are praising him. Still, this was going to be shit no matter what. The "MAGA" candidate was Rick "red flag" Scott, who signed gun grabbing laws when he was the governor of Florida.
While I am no fan of McConnell, he's very good at what he does, and he wasn't "serving the Democrats" - quite the contrary. If you have a Supreme Court majority, it is because of McConnell.
Lmao, expected Antonio take/10.
McConnell literally sold out Republicans in the midterms because he hates Trump
Pushing through judicial appointments were the only thing Mitch did well. He sucked at everything else.
And it should be noted that Amy Coney Barret and Kavanagh have certainly been less than perfect, and my understanding was that Mitch had at least some advising role in making those selections. I believe he’s the one who provided Trump’s shortlist in the first place. “If you have a Supreme Court majority…” yeah, maybe. But those vacancies were going to happen with or without Mitch, and with someone more based in his role we may have in fact gotten better appointees. It’s impossible to know, but it’s definitely not cut and dried enough to overlook all his glaring flaws.
