They think because so many media outlets say the same thing then that must mean they're unbiased. They can't even comprehend that most of the media is actually far-left.
They don't even realize that they are far-left. It's like trying to explain water to a fish.
Of course you could easily point out how much the Overton window has shifted, and how opinions that were considered leftist 10 years ago are considered far-right today. But then they'll insist that everything was worse in the past. "Don't believe your nostalgia!"
