Remember when just blanket banning everybody from your subreddit because they posted in a different subreddit was against the official Reddit rules?
yes, but it was never punished so...
it's one of those rules that only show up when the "wrong side" can be banned. same with brigading etc
"Rubber band laws" - rules that can be stretched to catch exactly whomever you want them to catch. Standard practice under communism and other dictatorships.
