A federal review published in August by the National Institutes of Health’s toxicology program concluded that higher levels of fluoride is linked to lowered IQ in children.

I don't actually think fluoride in the water is actually as serious as people think it is, but it really doesn't need to be in there if we had, I don't know, clean water and working pipes.
Maybe instead of putting fluoride in the water we should repair our infrastructure.

I mean, hell, purified water is actually quite difficult to maintain historically. Grog exists because alcohol was a great way to increase the longevity of water at sea.

They don't put fluoride in the water to clean it, it's in there because at some point in the past they figured it would help with tooth health.
