It's really rather bizarre that they never seem to think, "would they accept me as a refugee and grant me asylum in the way and numbers that we accept them?"

Like, can you imagine India, Pakistan, or Morocco accepting a tsunami of French and Germans, and then tolerating their behavior when it inevitably violates their cultural norms?
