"How could gamers wish a game company would fail, just because they produce games that don't appeal to gamers?! And why would we?! You're evil!" - This retard, essentially.
If people like this weren't doing so much damage to everything, I'd feel nothing but compassion for these midwits; they're really in their own reality, and I do think at least many of them believe their own spiel. They can't see their own blatant contradictions, and do think it's just a bunch of evil, mean people, who aren't with the times.
I just wish "woke" and "modern" game enthusiasts didn't feel the need to corrupt everything, and destroy the opposition. If they want woke games, and there's that market, someone should make woke games, aimed at woke gamers. Go for it.
But they (as they always do) took it much farther, infiltrated and corrupted all companies they could, and said if you don't produce or enjoy woke games, you're subhuman. If you resent them trying to make your games into their games, you're a bad person.
I have nothing against these nasty pieces of work having games they enjoy (in so far as they actually play games), but I'm going to demand games for me, too. And, unlike these people, I don't need my games to be political propaganda that fulfils my world views, politics, and fetishes. I just want good games that aren't shoving The Message down my throat, thanks.
The thing is, there isn't. What there is is a huge demand for making it look like there is.
The Woke succeeds by isolating opposition and paralyzing them into inaction. One of the most effective forms of that is making themselves appear bigger and anyone else appear like a dying, niche existence. Its what allowed them to basically dominate everything pre-Trump by successfully doing that to the entire Right wing.
But, games are harder to penetrate, because they are much longer (giving you time to notice the wierd shit) and because people play less of them in total (giving less variety in the avenues of attack for the mindvirus to get in). So it keeps failing to catch on as successfully.
100% this. There is no market, even they aren't buying these games because it's merely a status signal from the creator. Owning and playing the games gives no status benefit to the players, even if they are Communists.
