Hey, not arguing the point. Just saying I also can't help but feel bad for these scumbags; they're broken people. They're destructive people, often with evil mindset...but they're broken, and they've been victimized by various entities in their own lives.

These peoples' influences need to be massively curtailed - completely cut off - but the people themselves...maybe I'm too lame, but I can't help but feel sorry for them. If we could cut off their power completely, they'd no longer be a danger, and then maybe we could focus on fixing these retards.

All I can think about is this tidbit from a website that's been on the interwubs for decades...

Cults are full of the weak, weird and emotionally unstable. Not true. Many cult members are very intelligent, attractive and skilled. The reality is that all sorts of people are involved in cults. One of the few common denominators is that they were often recruited at a low point in their life — more about that later.

I definitely get it. I have friends who are self declared feminists and are all into the society destroying mantra of the day and yet they are personally deeply miserable, broken people.

I've had some who've literally broken down and admit to me they just want kids and a traditionally strong relationships but they're getting older and pushed away anyone who'd actually give that to them. I do feel sorry for them, but the impetus is on them to change and they're not doing it.
