We are at the inevitable end of the Leftist order when all the intelligent Leftists are basically all out of the game or dead
And no new generation can come up because the current crop refuses to even budge slightly to let them begin to sit at the table and grow their own powerbase. You can see it most clearly with Pelosi vs AoC, but also in how big the gap is between the actual Power in the Leftist order (many of whom are well over 70 and even up to the 90s) and the dancing monkeys they parade around to be replaceable distractions.
In fact, I wager AoC was meant to be one of those throwaways, but she managed to get an actual "fanbase" that made it too risky to do so and now they just keep hoping she goes away.
Does she think Biden won't intentionally try to cut her throat and throw the election for crossing her?
I think she, and everyone, is banking on Biden being too braindead to put up any actual threats and what little he has left to be controlled by his wife. Which seems to be working so far, as he continues to be nearly out of sight completely. If they continue to dance around attacking him directly they can probably run out his wrath.
AoC is absolutely meant to be one of those throw aways. Strangely enough, it seems like the division that existed between the LBJ establishment (continuing from FDR and the Fabian socialists), and the Freedom Democrats (the Socialists and Communists) is still the same division. The difference is that the LBJ side of Neo-Liberalism is physically dying, and the Communist Radicals of the 1970's are the ones who enshrined their power, but have been blown back so often that they are why both Regan and Nixon had the wins they did. Now, it's Trump's turn and they still don't get it, and todays batch of revolutionaries were trained by straight up terrorists. Which means they are effectively too radical to even hold, or understand, power.
