I don't think anyone should be held down for being leery of a choice after Pence snaked on us and the Right wing is filled with RINOs and other forms of disappointment like DeSantis.
By this point though, we have considerable proof that Vance can at least rumble and accomplish tasks that should benefit us, so if they still doubt they are being foolish.
Certainly I won't criticize anyone for that, I just don't think they really understood how good of a choice he was. For example, he can rumble way better than this, and his cat-lady comments showed he understood the larger problem set. Even his RNC speech showed that he understood that there was a kind of American ethnos that doesn't even appear within the Leftwing mind.
He's on the dissident right for sure. He is no Boomer-Con lusting for Reagan's 2nd term.

Most people didn't know who he was until the day he was picked. That's where the disconnect here is. They went "who? I don't know with this curry muncher" and needed him to prove themselves to them, while you are far more plugged in to this to know way more.
I agree with that, hardly anyone knew who he was unless they saw me arguing with Philosoraptor about him, or watching Viva Frei, Robert Barnes, or Richard Barris. Which, still, is more plugged in than should be considered healthy.
