I definitely understand the point you were making now and I'm inclined to agree with you. I was already aware how easy it is to force people into actions that they wouldn't normally do but Mark Twain hammered it home. I retract my initial statement.
Like I said, it's a behavior you see in most collective violence. Rarely do you get thousands of organized belligerents outside of war.
