Lecturer I believe. As I understand it, and I'll fully admit my understanding is quite poor, you need to have a Master's Degree to teach at a university and a doctorate to actually be a professor.
In his partial defense, I don't think he's that bad of an interviewer, and his guests are quite varied - Joe Rogan said that he would NOT invite Trump. I chuckle when I hear people describe him as smart, but that may just be because he's so uncharismatic and because he doesn't speak well - I doubt I could earn a a technical MSc at any university, let alone MIT.
I didn’t know this, but it makes a lot of sense to me now. He’s one of those over educated stupid people. That whole thing about book smarts and street smarts. Some of the smartest people I’ve known in my lifetime have tattoos and drive tow trucks, some of the biggest dumbfucks I’ve known have 3 framed degrees on their office wall and a couple of letters after their name.
I’ve honestly never been able to sit through a full episode of Lex, no matter WHO he’s interviewing. Guy is practically dead behind the wheel, and his questions are so 2015 normie it’s painful (eg “do you think the mainstream media may REALLY BE biased?”)
It’s also hard to take him seriously when he looks like Robert Deniro fucked Mr Bean.
